Michael has over 25 years of financial management and fundraising within the voluntary and public sectors. He has an excellent track record of helping voluntary sector organisations secure contract and grant funding as well as developing innovative fundraising strategies and appeals.
Michael is a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and holds the Certificate in Fundraising as a member of the Institute of Fundraising.
Michael has a wealth of experience in the areas of business planning and finance management within the not for profit sector, having previously worked in the capacity of Finance Director/Manager for a number of mental health and peer support charities.
Michael is also a champion of social enterprise and over the last three years has worked with a number of start-up and new social enterprises to develop their governance models and business plans, as well as secure seedcorn investment and funding.
Nicola Davidson - Consultant
Nicola has worked in the public and community sectors for over 15 years, Nicola is a full member of the Institute of Fundraising specialising in providing community/project development and Fundraising support to voluntary and public sector organisations
She advises a variety of different charitable and local authorities clients providing support for a range of activities including needs analysis, stakeholder engagement, funding reviews, funder research and writing/reviewing funding applications
Before joining Our Community Enterprise Nicola managed the Community Partnership within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, where she delivered a range of community initiatives including helping secure over £2 million of Local Area Agreement funding and helping to establish the borough as one of the vanguards for the Big Society.
Nicola has a degree in Rural Resource Management and during the early part of her career worked in a number of technical roles within the Environment Agency. She also previously worked for the London Borough of Ealing delivering a range specialist waste management and recycling projects, including piloting innovative options for managing biodegradable waste and winning £1M in funding for garden and food waste projects.
Nili Vail - Associate Consultant
Niki is a project/programme manager, with experience of change management, strategic, market & financial analysis and policy development.
Examples of projects Niki has recently provided project management support for include a £5million multi sports centre for people disabilities; a Heritage lottery funded capital and revenue project at Windsor Museum and a local authority project relating to the transition of young people with learning difficulties.
Niki is a Prince II qualified project manager and provides project management support to a number of our clients at all stages in a project lifecycle from inception through to completion.
Prior to working with Our Community Enterprise Niki worked for the Department for Communities and Local Government where she was part of the Big Society Vanguards and Barrier Busting team; led an external review of voluntary and community sector (VCS) in neighbourhood renewal and project managed sub-national economic development programme start up and controls. She also worked at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minster for a period of time where she was responsible for the design and development of a management information database.
